At Bineau Builders, we are committed to transparency and clear expectations throughout every project. The following outlines our refund and cost-handling policies.

​​Deposits

Project deposits secure scheduling, pre-construction planning, coordination, and administrative time. Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun, including but not limited to site visits, design coordination, estimating, permit preparation, or scheduling of labor and subcontractors.

If a project is canceled prior to any work commencing, a partial refund may be issued at our discretion, less any administrative or planning costs already incurred.

Cost Adjustments

Project pricing is based on agreed-upon scope, material selections, and labor estimates at the time of contract. Any changes to scope, material availability, or site conditions may result in cost adjustments. Cost adjustments are documented and will be communicated prior to proceeding. Refunds related to overpayment due to approved cost adjustments will be applied to the final invoice or refunded accordingly.

Funds Allocated to Project Materials

Funds allocated toward the purchase of project materials are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or purchased, regardless of project cancellation. This includes special-order, custom, or non-returnable items.
If materials are returnable and a refund is issued by the supplier, that refund—less any restocking fees, handling costs, or administrative time—may be credited back to the client.

Project Cancellation

If a project is canceled after work has commenced, the client is responsible for all completed work, incurred costs, ordered materials, and scheduled labor up to the cancellation date. Any remaining balance, after accounting for these costs, will be addressed in accordance with this policy.
